About me

Hello all! My name is Latifa and I was born and raised in the United Kingdom, in a small town near London. I am currently in my third year at the University of Lancaster studying for a degree in Sociology, alongside minors in Spanish and Media studies. Naturally, conversations within my subject spark interesting political and philosophical questions that I enjoy exploring with others.

During the summer, I decided to extend my love of languages by completing the EBC TEFL course in Madrid, enabling me to both teach English and socialise with students in Spanish. My teaching style often includes role play and the use of authentic materials, such as maps or timetables, that aim to prepare students for real-world scenarios.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Travel: After living in Madrid for a month, I have since visited Bilbao during la semana grande, Guernica, and San Juan.

Reading: Whenever I have a chance, I will open a book. I recently finished: “This is going to hurt”, which gave me some insight into the working life of a junior doctor in the United Kingdom.

Hiking: My love of hiking came as a surprise to me, but with the beautiful Lake District just around the corner, it was hard to ignore. My friends and I often take weekend trips there to take a break from university life.
